Biometric characteristic A biometric characteristic is a single biological output from the body possessing a distinct pattern. A brainwave pattern of any type counts, as does the distinct set of neural impulses sent down the spine to lift the left leg. A fingerprint is a unique biometric characteristic in that no two are the same. An iris pattern or DNA sample also count.
